Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the VSub API ("VSub," "we," "us") collects and how we use it. The Service is a developer API; it is not consumer-facing and we deliberately collect as little as possible.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require, request, or store end-user accounts, names, payment card numbers, or precise location. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.

2. How We Use Information

3. Cookies

The API itself does not set cookies. We do not emit Set-Cookie on API responses, and we do not use tracking cookies on our documentation or legal pages.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only with infrastructure providers that host the Service (for example, our content delivery and edge-compute provider), and only as necessary to operate it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

5. Data Retention

Account and key records are retained for as long as your key is active. Operational logs containing request metadata are retained for a limited period sufficient for security and diagnostics, then deleted or anonymized. Cached subtitle and metadata records are retained to operate the Service and may be purged at any time.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your API key confidential and rotate it if you believe it has been exposed.

7. International Users

The Service is operated from, and processes data in, the United States and other regions where our infrastructure provider operates. By using the Service you consent to the transfer and processing of information in those locations.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information associated with your API key. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

9. Children

The Service is intended for developers and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
